The matte grey vinyl on this LeBron prototype is such a cool contrast to the painted Lakers version on my shelf. Mine came with the little purple jersey number faintly visible, which made the whole early-stage look feel intentional. Easily the most interesting piece in my small collection.
The unpainted prototype look is what sold me, you can actually see the mold seams and the early sculpt details before the Lakers colors go on. Stuck it next to my regular release and the difference in the jersey sculpt is noticeable. Weirdly my favorite piece on the shelf now.
The Lakers purple and gold really pops on this one, even in the early prototype stage. I've got it next to my other Lakers figures and the uniform detail holds up way better than I expected for a proto piece.
