Straight answers to the most common questions about the Japanese Pokemon Sun & Moon Full Metal Wall SM9B booster box, from pack count and contents to pulls and buying checks.
Quick answer
The Sun & Moon Full Metal Wall SM9B Japanese booster box is a 30-pack sealed box from the Sun & Moon era, and it suits collectors who want a focused Japanese set rather than a modern release. Buy it if you value the Full Metal Wall theme and sealed Sun & Moon product; skip it if you only chase current-format cards.
Why the Japanese edition changes the buying decision
SM9B is a Japanese-series release, so the cards, packaging, and set identity differ from English Sun & Moon products. That makes it appealing for collectors who build Japanese set binders or want a sealed box that stands apart from the English print run.
The trade-off is compatibility: Japanese cards are not legal for standard English-format tournament play, so treat this box as a collecting and opening product first. If your goal is playable cards for an English deck, this is the wrong box.
What a 30-pack box means for opening versus keeping sealed
Thirty booster packs give you a substantial opening session, but that volume also means the box has real value as a sealed unit. Once you open it, you cannot undo that choice, and the sealed premium disappears.
Decide before you break the seal: keep it sealed as a Sun & Moon display piece, or open it for the pack-opening experience. Splitting the difference by opening a few packs is not possible without breaking the seal, so pick one path.
SM9B booster box questions, answered
- How many packs are in the box?
- The Full Metal Wall SM9B booster box contains 30 booster packs from the Japanese Sun & Moon series.
- What set is inside?
- It is the Japanese Sun & Moon Full Metal Wall SM9B set. The box is part of the Sun & Moon era, so the card pool and set symbols follow that Japanese release rather than an English set.
- What pulls can I expect?
- The supplied catalog does not list a pull rate or guaranteed card list, so no honest expectation can be set here. Treat any specific pull claim you see elsewhere as unverified unless it comes from the manufacturer. If a seller promises specific pulls, ask for the source before you buy.
- Is it good for players or collectors?
- Collectors who want sealed Sun & Moon Japanese product get the most from it. Players building English-format decks should choose an English release instead, because Japanese cards are not legal in that format.
- What should I check before buying?
- Confirm the box is described as the Japanese SM9B release with 30 packs, and check the listing's condition and seal description. Compare the price against the catalog comparison price of USD 150.00 to judge the current offer.
- Should I open it or keep it sealed?
- Keep it sealed if you want a Sun & Moon display piece or a long-term collectible. Open it if the 30-pack opening experience is the point of the purchase. There is no partial-open option once the seal is broken.
