DC New Classics Pocket Pop! Keychain Wonder Woman Review: Worth Adding?

The DC New Classics Pocket Pop! Keychain Wonder Woman brings the iconic Amazonian warrior to a compact, portable format. As part of Funko's popular Pocket Pop! line, this keychain offers a unique way to showcase your fandom without taking up valuable shelf space. But does it live up to the legacy of the classic Wonder Woman figures? In this review, we'll dive into the design, durability, and overall value of this mini collectible.

Whether you're a seasoned Funko collector or just starting your journey, keychains offer a fun and affordable entry point. The Wonder Woman Pocket Pop! is particularly appealing due to its detailed sculpt and recognizable costume. Let's take a closer look at what makes this keychain special and whether it's worth adding to your growing collection.

Design and Details

The first thing you'll notice about the DC New Classics Pocket Pop! Keychain Wonder Woman is the impressive level of detail packed into such a small figure. Standing at about 4 inches tall, this keychain captures Wonder Woman's iconic look with her signature tiara, bracelets, and lasso. The paint application is clean, with vibrant reds, blues, and golds that pop against the dark background. The sculpt is faithful to the classic comic book design, making it instantly recognizable to fans.

Compared to standard Pop! Vinyl figures, the Pocket Pop! Keychain version sacrifices some articulation but makes up for it in portability. The keychain attachment is securely fastened to the top of the figure's head, allowing you to clip it to bags, keys, or belts without worrying about it falling off. The figure itself is made of sturdy vinyl, which should withstand daily wear and tear.

• Detailed sculpt with accurate comic-inspired design
• Vibrant, chip-resistant paint application
• Secure keychain attachment for on-the-go display

Durability and Build Quality

When it comes to keychains, durability is a major concern. The Wonder Woman Pocket Pop! Keychain is constructed from the same high-quality vinyl used in Funko's standard Pop! figures, but the smaller size means it's more susceptible to bending if subjected to excessive force. However, for everyday use, it holds up well. The keychain ring is made of metal and feels sturdy, and the connection point is reinforced to prevent accidental detachment.

We've tested this keychain on a daily commute, attaching it to a backpack and a set of keys. After weeks of use, there are no visible scratches or paint chips, which speaks to the quality of the materials. The only minor issue we noticed is that the figure's head can tilt slightly if the keychain is twisted, but this is a common trait among all Pocket Pop! keychains and doesn't affect its overall appeal.

• High-quality vinyl construction
• Metal keyring with reinforced attachment point
• Withstands daily use without significant wear

Value for Collectors

For collectors, the DC New Classics Pocket Pop! Keychain Wonder Woman offers a budget-friendly way to expand your Wonder Woman collection. Priced significantly lower than standard Pop! Vinyl figures, it's an affordable addition that doesn't compromise on aesthetics. Plus, its compact size makes it perfect for those with limited display space or for those who want to show off their fandom on the go.

If you're a completionist, this keychain pairs well with other DC New Classics items, and it's a great conversation starter. While it may not be as valuable as a limited edition Pop! or a rare prototype, it holds its own as a charming collectible. For fans of Wonder Woman, this is a must-have accessory that adds a touch of heroism to your everyday carry.

• Affordable price point for budget-conscious collectors
• Ideal for on-the-go display and gifting
• Complements existing Wonder Woman Funko collections

Comparison with Other Pocket Pop! Keychains

The DC New Classics line includes several other iconic heroes, but Wonder Woman stands out due to her distinctive design. When compared to other Pocket Pop! keychains like Batman or Superman, Wonder Woman's color scheme is more vibrant, making her more visually striking. The sculpt also benefits from the character's accessories, such as the lasso, which adds an extra layer of detail.

If you're considering starting a Pocket Pop! keychain collection, Wonder Woman is an excellent starting point. She's recognizable, well-made, and offers a great balance of form and function. Plus, she pairs nicely with other DC keychains, allowing you to build a mini Justice League on your bag or keyring.

• Vibrant colors stand out among other DC keychains
• Detailed accessories like the lasso add uniqueness
• Great starting point for a Pocket Pop! keychain collection

The DC New Classics Pocket Pop! Keychain Wonder Woman is a delightful addition to any collector's arsenal. Its detailed design, durable construction, and affordable price make it a worthwhile purchase for both new and seasoned Funko enthusiasts.
